What is a digital breakout?
If you are familiar with Breakout EDU, you know that these "games" incorporate clues and problems for students to solve to find the combination to a series of locks. There are physical breakout games that utilize the breakout boxes and different locks that students must physically open, but the DIGITAL breakouts are completely online and require little to no set up. There are digital breakout games available online for you to use, and you can also develop your own digital breakout (similar to a webquest) to use with your students as well!
Getting started
Start by visiting the Breakout EDU Digital site, if you have platform access you can enter your code to search the breakout games on the official site.
If you DO NOT have a platform access code you are in luck! There is a large repository of FREE digital breakout games created by and for teachers of all ages and content areas. Click here to check out the database of free digital breakout games.
Contact Shanna or Libby if you would like to develop your own digital breakout game for your students!
